Challenge 5 · Manga hair
This is the first hairstyle where the hair is tied up: there's a tie point, and the whole style pulls toward it. What you learn here is the difference between hair held tight before the elastic and hair falling loose after it.

Mark the crown on top of the skull and draw the hairline across the forehead. Even with the hair tied back, every lock still starts at the crown: gathering hair doesn't move the origin, it only adds a second point that everything travels toward.
