Minors

This page is for the parent or guardian of whoever uses the app. It explains in two minutes what a minor's account can and cannot do.

The minimum age is 13

We do not accept accounts for children under 13. We do not yet have a way to ask for and verify an adult's consent, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Registration asks for a date of birth.

What a 13-to-17 account can do

  • Follow the step-by-step tutorials and draw on paper.
  • Take a photo of the drawing and get a score and comments back.
  • See their progress, their streak, and the drawings they already sent.

What cannot happen

  • There is no chat and no direct messaging. Nobody can write to them inside the app: the feature does not exist.
  • The public gallery is off by default. Publishing a drawing is a separate decision, drawing by drawing.
  • Their real name is never shown. In public, only the nickname they chose and a drawn avatar appear.
  • They cannot pay. An adult has to complete the payment with their own payment method.

If they publish a drawing

The drawing, the nickname, and the avatar are shown; nothing else. We strip the EXIF data from the copy that gets published, so the place where the photo was taken does not travel with it. They can take the drawing down whenever they want, and you or we can also have it taken down.

Where the drawing photo goes

The photo is sent to xAI, the company whose AI model looks at the drawing and returns the score. We ask that the photo show the drawing only: no faces, no names, nothing of the room. The original photo stays in a private bucket and is never published.

An adult makes the payment

There is a free part that asks for no card. For the paid part, Paddle takes the payment as merchant of record and the receipt is issued to whoever paid. If you want a refund, there are 14 days on a first purchase.

How to ask us to delete the account

Write to the contact address with the account's nickname or email. We delete the profile, the photos, and the feedback within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done. From there you can also ask for a copy of the data, or have a drawing removed from the gallery without deleting the account.
