DrawSensei

Terms and conditions

These are the rules for using DrawSensei. They are written so anyone can understand them, with no fine print.

What this service is

DrawSensei teaches you to draw manga step by step. You follow a plate, draw on paper, take a photo of your drawing, and get it back with a score and comments. Part of it is free and part of it is paid.

An AI does the grading

The score and the comments are written by an artificial-intelligence model, not by a person. They are guidance about what to improve on your next try: not a certificate, not a diploma, not an official assessment of anything. The AI can get it wrong. If you think it did, send the drawing again or write to us.

How to use the app

By using the app you agree to this:

  • Only upload photos of drawings you made yourself.
  • Keep the photo to the drawing and nothing else: no faces, no names, no documents.
  • No sexual, violent, or hateful content, and nothing meant to harass another person.
  • Do not try to break the app, get around the daily limits, or get into someone else's account.
  • If you break these rules we can suspend or close the account. If it is serious, without warning first.

Your account is yours alone

An account belongs to one person. Do not sell it, lend it, or share it between several people. Look after your password: whatever happens on your account counts as done by you.

The public gallery

Publishing a drawing to the gallery is optional, and you decide drawing by drawing. Once you publish, anyone can see that drawing next to your nickname and your avatar. You can take it down whenever you want. We can also take it down or stop featuring it: if it breaks the rules above, if someone reports it and they are right, or if the person who drew it or their family asks us to.

Payments

The free part is never charged. The paid part is charged through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record: Paddle is who charges you and who issues the receipt. Refunds have their own page.

Minimum age

You need to be 13 or older to have an account. If you are between 13 and 17, a separate page explains to your family what your account can and cannot do.

Governing law

The service is operated from Ecuador and is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ecuador. Any claim goes before the courts of Ecuador. The details of the company behind it will be filled in on this same page before anyone is charged.

If these terms change

When we change something we publish the new version on this page with its version number and date. If the change matters, we tell you by email or inside the app the next time you sign in. Carrying on using the service after a change means you accept the new version; if you do not accept it, you can close your account.
